PART OF THE UPPER CLYDE RIVER, Joes Lake

This is a short paddle trip for an hour or so.

By way of Road 511 to Brightside, turn west on French Line Road to Joe's Lake and turn left at Clyde Forks Road. Most notable, on your right is a large sand/gravel bank, and an old ball diamond. Opposite this " diamond in the rough " is the launch site.

Follow the left shore (where you're starting from). You’ll eventually find yourself in a marshy waterway heading into the Clyde River. Keep going and you’ll come to a small dam. Here's a great place to go ashore, have lunch and explore. Take a break, and when you’re ready, head back up to your vehicle.
