The Clyde River is a moody river, changing drastically from its upper end to it lower reaches. Its moods are much more pronounced by the seasons. The middle portions of the river are indeed very, very wonderful white water runs in the spring, yet just a drag-through in the heat of summer. So from deep, slow water to torrents, this is a fine river indeed.

From the family float to the adrenaline-pumping white water run, this river has it all. For the photographer, bird life, flowers, easily portaged rapids and hazardous chutes all offer wonderful opportunity for the artistic shooter. Any obstruction on a river, no matter how it got there, is a hazard. Always be prudent. Rapids can have dear consequences, even inocent looking rapids. Slow-moving water is easily underestimated. Study, instruction, and experience are the right way to a long practice of river-running. DON'T TAKE FOOLISH CHANCES!
