Some folks have heard the word "ECO", in the context of global warning and environment. However, the term "ECO" in the context of tourism has a smaller scope. Eco tours, basically, are tours that bring to light the local developments of housing, farming, industry, roads, and natural events, as they relate to the local environment. Eco tours generally bring some strength to the local economy, as well. Eco tours may also bring a more global attention to an area as well.
