SPORTSMEN, PADDLERS, BOATERS, BIRDERS, CYCLISTS, ATV RIDERS, NATURALISTS!

This is an area at the HUB of the great Madawaska Highlands, the Lanark Highlands and the Land O' Lakes.

It is a vast, virtually undiscovered area of recreation. The Land O'Lakes alone boasts some 5000 lakes. We are adjacent to the huge watershed of the Salmon River, and we are in the middle of a 120 mile, 200 km waterway, the Mississippi River, which cascades in rapids, and pools in lakes on it's way from the Bon Echo Provincial Park headwaters to the Ottawa River, just above the City of Ottawa. We need your voice. Please visit the following links and learn how you can help us. It's your future too.

The information provided above relates to the potential development of a Uranium mine at Robertsville Ontario. The Robertsville uranium mine would be developed at Robertsville, near Sharbot Lake, North Frontenac Township, Frontenac County, in Eastern Ontario. Robertsville was one of several small community stops on the Kingston & Pembroke Railway line. Now reliant on tourism and mineral and timber extraction, the Robertsville mine does not bode well for eco tourism, which the County and the Townships have been trying to promote.
