We service the Mississippi,Clyde, and Madawaska Rivers with excellent nature and moonlight kayak tours, and we are nationally certified and provincially certified to instruct. These Bed and Breakfast operators are committed to making your stay in our area pleasant one. We focus on kayak and canoe lessons, tours and trips, but we also assist birders, cyclists, hikers, skiers, fishers and paddlers.
Picture a pothole-sized lake, with a classic small farm cut out of the wilderness across on the other side. Sheep, a couple of cows, with round, sculptured hills as the backdrop. The lake is kept to its level by exiting in a smooth, silver-shining sheet between rock faces.
Then it begins its fall for 800 meters of sound, white spray and black water, mixing with air, and refreshing mind and soul. Beside this spectacle stands a log home of the classic Scandanavian scribed log construction, so beautiful you would think you're in the Rockies. From its windows and porch, the view is just as earlier described. The log home is hidden from view, at the base of a steep gravel drive, curved amid hardwoods and evergreens. Here, one is hidden from the strain of the outside world and its cares by the sound of living water spilling over million-year-old rocks.
A dreamer's delight, and an artist's vision perhaps, but with one exception: This is a reality. This is "The Life". This is "The Dream" come true.
