DALHOUSIE LAKE'S NORTHERN WILDERNESS is our base of operations. We're at the interface of Lanark Highlands, Madawaska Highlands, North Frontenac and the Land o' Lakes, a magnificent area of hills, rivers, lakes and old growth forests.

Although we're based in Dalhousie Lake's north, outfitter Adventure Agent is convenient to the civilized amenities of Westport, Sharbot Lake, Perth, Lanark, and the surrounding areas.

For that rural feeling, for that "small town" feeling, and for that "wilderness" feeling, Dalhousie Lake's north end offers it all, and with good road access. Our outfitter base is our log house on an island in the middle of the Mississippi River, on the McLaren Depot Snye.

Wesport, Kingston, Belleville, Gananoque and Ottawa outdoors people refer to this area of the Land O' Lakes, with well over 5000 lakes and ten rivers. They call it "God's Country ". They recognize Dalhousie Lake's northern area as the accessible wilderness, because of its proximity and excellent paved roads.

Great motor cruising, alright, but the best way to get to know this land is by canoe or kayak. Because of your pace and closeness to the environment, it's a pleasant break from the drone of engines and locks.
